Specialized AC cleaner: Opt for a neutral-formula foam cleaner that can break down oily residue on the evaporator and kill mold. Reliable brands include Walch, Dichang, and Laoguanjia; some cleaning kits include this item.
AC cleaning catch bag (water collection cover): A crucial protective tool placed beneath the unit to catch wastewater during cleaning, preventing stains on walls and floors. Models with a drainage hose are more convenient to use.
Soft-bristled brush/blower wheel brush: Used to scrub filter mesh and clean gaps in the blower wheel and cooling fins. Do not use stiff-bristled brushes, as they can scratch and deform the aluminum fins of the evaporator.
Auxiliary Tools
High-pressure sprayer: Fill with clean water to rinse away residual dirt inside the unit; this is often included in complete cleaning kits.
Basic disassembly and safety gear: Have a Phillips screwdriver ready to remove the front panel, along with lint-free dry and wet cloths, gloves, and a face mask. Always unplug the power supply and take appropriate safety precautions before starting.
