Maintenance Of Refrigeration Units

Jul 17, 2026

Daily Inspection and Maintenance
Core Component Checks: Daily inspection of the compressor, condenser, and evaporator for unusual noises or vibrations; monitoring temperature and pressure gauge readings to ensure they remain within normal ranges.
Electrical System Checks: Verifying that electrical connections are secure and tight, checking for damage to wire insulation, and periodically testing motor insulation resistance.
Operational Data Logging:Recording unit operating parameters every two hours and maintaining logs to facilitate future fault prediction.

Periodic In-depth Maintenance
Monthly Maintenance:Cleaning or replacing air filters, checking the tightness of power terminals, and verifying that high and low-pressure readings are within normal ranges.
Quarterly Maintenance: Cleaning condenser fins to remove accumulated dust, cleaning water system pipeline strainers, and checking for adequate refrigerant levels.
Annual Maintenance: Replacing refrigeration oil, oil filters, and filter drier cores; performing system airtightness tests and vacuum drying; and calibrating sensor accuracy.

Specialized Maintenance for Key Systems
Cooling System Maintenance: Regularly cleaning cooling tower debris and replacing circulating water; cleaning condenser heat-exchange copper tubes at least once a year to remove scale.
Refrigerant Management: Using leak detectors to periodically check for leaks; topping up with the same type of refrigerant when levels are low; and preventing the ingress of non-condensable gases.
Lubrication System Maintenance: Lubricating moving parts according to manufacturer-specified intervals; replacing oil promptly if quality deteriorates; and maintaining the oil level at the center of the sight glass.
